New to forum- looking to start loading tss Turkey shells

Postby TurkeyTerror37 » Wed Feb 28, 2018 4:07 pm

Hi everybody, I’m new to the forum and am hoping to load some tss turkey loads this year prior to season. I live in Indiana and have loaded target loads for years. I use an rcbs grand progressive, but also have a mec 600 I plan on using for my turkey shells (may only be needed for the crimp). I’m looking for advice on loading, and when it comes to getting the tss Hal seems to be the guy to go to.

Ross,

Yes HAL is the man. Sounds like you have everything you need. I have started roll crimping instead on crimping.

Roll with it. If you stay above 55 the wheel wont fall off.

I’ve looked into roll crimping, but haven’t seen any major reason to use it over a fold crimp. Any particular reason you like rolled better?

I like rolls since they seal better and I dont have to set up my mec.
