Big 20 XL

I was wondering if removing one of the 28 ga felt for this load would make the round a little shorter to feed in my Benelli? Right now my finished rounds measure 2.6" and they hang up on the spoon from the magazine tube.

Since I roll crimp, I have to trim about 1/8" off of new hulls so they will function through the magazine of a Benelli. Then I leave off one of the felt wads. Just leaving out a wad is not going to make the shell shorter unless you trim the hull, especially on a roll crimp.

No, but it will make the pressure go up, provided that felt was under the shot column.
