.410 turkey patterns - Stevens 301, 370NM 9x10.25

Postby hawglips » Mon Jul 13, 2020 9:42 am

I bought a Stevens .410 before turkey season but didn’t get around to taking it out of the box till this weekend. I took it out, put a red dot on it (because the eye age is catching up with me and I am starting to miss too many turkeys with a bead) and then sighted it in with the EF choke that comes with it- using my 370NM loaded with 9s x 10.25.

Here’s the 40 yd 10” and 20” pattern...

Looks like the best 12 gauge patterns of 15 years ago.

After all these years, this shot continues to amaze.

Nice. I don't understand the load name, 370NM loaded with 9s x 10.25. What is 370NM?

Tried two shells with an Indian Creek .390 with the Stevens .410 and with the same 370NM load got this at 40 yds:
