Alternate source for TUWSBL2024 Wads?

Postby Austringer » Sun Aug 09, 2020 12:47 am

Hello,

I have been checking the Precision Reloading website, for exactly a month today, looking for TUWSBL2024 Wads, but they continue to be unavailable. Does anybody have an alternate source for those wads? Searching Google has not helped me at all.

Thank You,

Marc

I ordered the csd20 wads from ballistic products. Based on my research they are the same wad just unslit. I haven't received them yet to compare the two though.

Thank you very much for that information!! It included a very interesting steel load for 20 gauge as a bonus!

I saw that old post, and updated it. There are now 4 wads for 20ga 3" steel shot.
PT2092
CSD203
Fiocchi ?? haven't bought or used, can't recall name
Gualandi 20ga 3", sold as TPS20 by BPI but matches the LBC ridged 12ga offerings from them, called "tubo" by Gualiandi thei actual manufacturer

All are better options for large steel 20ga loads than the 2024 i.e. csd20. For TSS though, you do want the smaller shotcup wad asked about here, you're already likely stuffing it with filler as is. But yeah, buy them from Precision. B&P does sell to other outlets you could find too.

I just got my order in and those unslit wads are a pain. After experimenting with several different numbers of slits and slit depths I found the four slits just like precision reloading works the best for my loads. Next time precision has them in stock I'll be stocking up
